The 2010 Frontier was the first major redesign of the model since its introduction 13 years earlier. In 2018, Nissan launched the second-generation Frontier, with a new design inside and out. It also featured a new V6 engine, with a displacement of 3.8-L and a power output of 310 horsepower. The updated interior was more modern and tech-savvy, with the addition of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and now standard Bluetooth.

For 2021, the Frontier saw a few updates, including a redesigned grille, revised hood, and restyled headlights. The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also replaced with a new 9.0-inch system. Additionally, the 2021 Frontier now comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which boosts the Frontier’s active safety features.
