Aftermarket GMC Canyon 2004-2012 Bumper Kits

The GMC Canyon is a light duty pickup truck produced by General Motors. It was introduced in 2004 and ran through 2012 with a few minor redesigns along the way. The Canyon had a unique style that was far more rugged than most of its contemporaries, while still offering plenty of comfort and convenience features.

The Canyon was available in Extended Cab, Crew Cab, and regular Cab body styles, with a range of wheelbase lengths from 112 inches to 140 inches, depending on the model and body style. Power came exclusively from GM’s Vortec inline-four or V6 engines. The base I4 was rated at 175 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, while the optional V6 made 220 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. All models were paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.

The Canyon offered a wide range of trim levels, from the base 2WD Work Truck to the fully loaded 4WD Z71. Standard features on the Work Truck included power windows, cruise control, and a stereo system, while the top-level Z71 got leather seats, a Bose sound system, and a heavy-duty suspension. All models were available with a variety of bed sizes and configurations, including long bed, short bed, and crew cab versions.

Safety features like anti-lock brakes, stability control, and tire pressure monitor were standard fare on all models. Optional equipment included a sunroof, remote start, and an integrated trailer brake controller.

The Canyon was praised for its strong styling, ample cargo space, fuel efficiency, and smooth ride. Critics also liked the interior, which was roomy and comfortable, especially in the Crew Cab models.

Overall, the GMC Canyon was a great light duty pickup truck. It offered plenty of power and capability, while still being comfortable and efficient. Though it wasn’t as powerful as some of its competitors, it offered good value for money and typically held its resale value better than other pickup trucks. It is remembered fondly by many fans of the GM brand and remains a popular choice among those looking for a reliable and capable pickup truck.
